JCPenney’s Senior Leadership Team Visits International Buying Offices in Asia

JCPenney Chief Executive Officer Marc Rosen, accompanied by members of JCPenney’s c-suite, visited Asia to engage with teams at the Company’s International Buying Offices (IBOs) in Bangalore, Delhi and Korea.

Rosen and senior leaders Michelle Wlazlo, chief merchandising officer, Sharms Bala, chief information officer and Wayne Milano, sr. vice president of global sourcing and product development, spoke about business initiatives, imperatives and JCPenney’s transformation journey.

Together, senior leaders and IBO teams acknowledged technology as an essential force behind digital innovation and stores and strategized on JCPenney’s International Buying Offices to better manage product quality and deliver value for its customers.

Leaders met with JCPenney’s top suppliers, identifying opportunities to enhance partnerships and customers’ shopping experiences through strategic sourcing.

During their visit, leadership also explored the Innovation Lab, a new community space inside the Bangalore IBO where associates can step away from their day-to-day routine or come together and collaborate on new ideas or solutions.

These senior leadership visits to IBOs are a crucial part of JCPenney’s multi-year strategy and transformation journey.
