JCPenney Again Named a Top Company for Latinas

For the eighth consecutive year, JCPenney has been named to the LATINA Style 50 as one of the Top 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in the United States for 2023 by LATINA Style, Inc.

JCPenney ranks at number 38 on this list, which recognizes companies that continue to find diversity and inclusion essential to their success and commit to empowering women in the workplace, with special attention to Latina retention rates, promotion, recruitment and an increase of Latina associates at the company. The full list is available here.

Two JCPenney associates, Luis Ceballos Gonzalez and Veronica Yates, attended the 26th annual LATINA Style 50 Awards and Diversity Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. on behalf of JCPenney. The company was recognized during the awards luncheon for its ranking on the list, and the JCPenney Hispanic Organization Promoting Equality (HOPE) business resource team was also recognized with an honorable mention for the 2023 Employee Resource Group of the Year award.

“It’s an honor to represent JCPenney at the LATINA Style 50 Awards and I am so proud to work for an organization that provides incredible opportunities for Hispanic women,” said Yates, a JCPenney general manager and HOPE co-chair. “We’re also excited that our HOPE business resource team received an honorable mention in our first year to submit for the ERG award, and look forward to continuing to provide our associates support in their careers through such a great resource.”

The wide array of people and perspectives at JCPenney allows us to better achieve our mission to celebrate and serve America’s diverse working families, and we’re honored to be included on this list for another year.
