A Big Night in Petite Fashion: JCPenney Unveils ‘Petite Power List’

JCPenney’s latest collaboration – Bold Elements x Ally Brooke – starts with petites. The collection, designed in partnership with multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Ally Brooke, and inspired by her own challenges finding trend-forward fashion that fits, includes 29 on-trend, body-positive pieces available in petite, standard and plus-sizing, with prices starting at $30. Unlike most petite clothing lines, Bold Elements x Ally Brooke was designed for petites first, then expanded to JCPenney’s inclusive size range, so the proportions are perfect no matter your stature.

Being petite in size holds no bearing on how big an impact one can make in life, which is why JCPenney is introducing the first of its kind “Petite Power List,” featuring eight influential petite women – from entrepreneurs and content creators to fashionistas and social activists.

The Petite Power List was announced on February 5 at a special event in New York, hosted by Ally Brooke, JCPenney Brand CEO Michelle Wlazlo, and Catalyst Brands Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Marisa Thalberg.

Each honoree will receive a $5,000 grant in their honor to a nonprofit of their choosing from JCPenney to help them continue making an impact on the communities they serve.

2025 JCPenney Petite Power List:

Ally Brooke: A lifelong entertainer and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Ally’s total career streams are already in the billions. Following her time as the anchor of the global pop sensation, Fifth Harmony, she kicked off her highly anticipated solo career in 2019 with back-to-back Top 40 charting singles and an impressive resume of genre-bending collaborations. Her first two singles “Low Key” and “Lips Don’t Lie” also marked her first Billboard charts as a solo artist.

April Lockhart: An advocate for the disabled community, April strives for more representation in the fashion industry and empowers others to have the confidence to feel authentically themselves. She brings women and young girls who have limb differences together in order to connect and be inspired by one another. She was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 and is a member of the Hello Sunshine Collective.

April Whitney: April is a certified personal trainer, nutritionist and the founder of Petite PWR, a lifestyle and health company geared toward petite women. As an entrepreneur and businesswoman, she’s uplifting and equipping the petite community to live healthier lives.

Armani Latimer: As a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Armani not only embraces her alopecia but inspires and encourages others to do the same. She’s challenging industry stigmas around beauty while providing a safe space for others with alopecia to feel beautiful and seen.

Averie Bishop: Averie is a first-generation law school graduate, social activist and the first Asian American woman to be crowned Miss Texas in 2022. Her work focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion. Averie also co-founded a nonprofit called the Tulong Foundation, supporting educational, nutritional and overall wellness access for impoverished countries.

Eli Rallo: Author of ‘I Didn’t Know I Needed This,’ Eli has also worked as an interviewer on red carpets, a journalist and a podcast host, in addition to her writing and content creation career. Her upcoming work titled, ‘Does Anyone else Feel This Way: The New Rules for Conquering the Quarterlife Crisis,’ will be released later this year.

Imani Ellis: CEO and founder of CultureCon and The Creative Collective, Imani has built a dynamic community and creative studio for Black and Brown creatives to share their experiences and collaborate. She successfully curated one of the most jam-packed events in New York for Black and Brown creatives in fashion, film, media and entertainment to network and learn from one another.

Shan Berries: CEO and founder of Shades by Shan Cosmetics and known for creating high-quality beauty products, Shan goes beyond the realm of beauty by dedicating a portion of every purchase to fund her nonprofit, The MamaBerries Nonprofit Foundation, which provides crucial financial assistance to single parents in need.
