  1. What is your favorite part about working for JCPenney? I absolutely love the culture of JCPenney’s management and how flexible they are with work-life balance. This flexibility has created a unique work experience for me which is quite different from what I had in my previous employers. JCPenney’s management has given me the tools and training that I need to succeed in my position. Another aspect of JCPenney that is different than others is the great morale that the company has amongst its employees. I am very proud to say that I am part of the JCPenney family!
  1. What can you tell us about the break you took away from the workforce and your transition back? After working for eight years, I had an overwhelming desire to take some time off to be there for my kids in their early stages of life. I spent all my time cultivating their little minds and once they were both of school age, I knew it was time for me to get back to what I loved to do. I started by checking the market to see what kinds of roles were offered with my experience. I was contacted by JCPenney and was extremely overjoyed at how willing they were to work with me as a returning mother. I started as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst and have been in my position for ten months, and I am loving every minute of it.
  1. How does your work support our purpose – to celebrate and serve America’s diverse, working families? JCPenney welcomed me with open arms when I was returning to work with my unique situation, and I know others with different backgrounds getting hired into the company had a similar experience. I feel that our company is very welcoming and is ultimately looking to create a truly diverse and creative workforce to better the culture of America’s working families.
